Who Will be Smarter than a 5th Grader?

Wow, another great year! 16 phenomenal fifth graders and competitive community celebrities together combined their wit and wisdom at Valley View Mall for the opportunity to capture the title of Champions of the Class of 2016 “Who Will Be Smarter than a 5th Grader”? Congratulations goes to the winning team of Jacob Hansen, Veterinarian, VCA Sand Lake Animal Hospital, and his student, Matthew Timm of Northside Elementary. As the 2016 “Who Will Be Smarter than a 5th Grader?” champions, Jacob received a variety of prizes from area merchants including a $500 travel voucher courtesy of Travel Leaders – Owned and Operated by Goli’s Avenues of Travel, and La Crosse Community Theatre season tickets. Matthew also received an assortment of prizes which included $1000.00 for his school, a La Crosse Loggers gift pack, gift certificates and a La Crosse Community Theatre ticket package.

Who Will Be Smarter Than a 5th Grader - RSVP La Crosse

Amy Stodola, Financial Advisor at Edward Jones Investments and her student Taya Schraith from State Road Elementary School received the People’s Choice Award, raising over $5,000. Thank you to Amy and all of her supporters. Amy and Taya’s scores also placed them in the top three teams. Congratulations are also in order for Cory Malles, Chief Meteorologist, News 8 WKBT and his student Bella Timm from Eagle Bluff Elementary School. Amy and Cory received gift certificates and prizes from area merchants and Marcus Movie Tickets. Bella received $250 for her school as well as gift certificates from Smith’s Bikes and Wal-Mart, and also prizes from local vendors.
